Spawning
The number of cows that can exist on the player's island varies depending on their level in Animal Care.
Starter island
A cow spawns on the player's island when it first generates.
Cow spawn egg
Cows can be spawned with cow spawn eggs. Cow spawn eggs are obtained by breeding cows or purchasing them from Taliyah.
Behavior
A cow can be lured with wheat and can sleep on hay beds. Feeding, petting, or milking a cow has a 1% chance of rewarding a cow ornament.
Milking
A cow can be milked using a bucket, creating a milk bucket. Cows can be milked after fully feeding them.
Breeding
After two cows have been given a potion of fertility each, they will breed, creating a cow spawn egg. The egg will be of a tier between 1 and 3.
Inspecting
Cows can be inspected to show a menu that allows the player to see information about the cow, listed below:
- Mount
- Sell value
- Information
- Food level
- Favorite foods
- Happiness level
- Traits (fertility, productivity and friendliness)
- Personality
Feeding
Cows can be fed approximately every 90 - 100 seconds. Cows eat wheat, but will also each have its own favorite foods. The foods a cow can have as its favorite food are carrots, potatoes, oranges, lemons, apples, berry pie, honey toast, bread, and tomato soup.
Feeding a cow will increase its food and friendliness level. The food level is necessary to keep above 20% or the cow will start losing happiness. The milking cooldown can also be skipped if a cow is fed.
A wooden trough, metal trough, or automated trough can be used to feed cows.
Petting
A cow can be pet every 5 minutes which increases their happiness level. The action yields 6 Animal Care XP (24 Animal Care XP with Daily Bonus.
Mounting
Cows can be mounted via the button in the inspect menu if the player is level 8 or higher in Animal Care. A mounted cow can be rode anywhere within the server. If the cow is dismounted outside the player's island, or falls into the void, the cow will respawn on the island spawn point.
Personality
Cows are assigned a personality upon spawning. All personalities have the same possibility, except for resourceful which is more uncommon.

Trivia
- Although cows can jump over 3 height blocks, cows cannot jump over blocks with around half block height, such as slabs.
- When mounted by a player, the cow can jump higher while sprinting.
- Cows can escape a box that is supposed to be inescapable by walking through blocks while the player's island is loading.
- Cows do not always sleep on hay beds.
- Cows can sit on furniture blocks.
- Cows will be stuck once sitting on a furniture block. When the seat is broken by the player, the cow cannot move until the player reloads the game or mounts the cow.
- Like sheep, pigs, chickens, and turkeys, cows may eat from grass blocks instead of from a wooden trough, metal trough, or automated through. However, doing so will not replenish their hunger meter nor give Animal Care XP.
- Cows share the same eating sound as sheeps and pigs.
- Before the January 22, 2021 update, cows had 1 hitbox and 3 hitboxes while asleep. Since then, cows can only come into contact with other cows.
- Before the January 22, 2021 update, cows had mooing animation. They performed the mooing animation by turning their head left or right.
- Cows are likely gender-neutral as they have features of both genders. They have horns of a bull but an udder with teats of a cow.
- Cows used to be 2 blocks tall before January 22, 2021, but were shortened to 1.75 blocks after January 22, 2021.
- The old model of cows had large udder with teats, while the current model had small udder, but doesn't have teats.
- Cow's old model used to have 6 teats instead of 4 teats, unlike the real life cow's teats.
- The current model of cows had 20 limb blocks, but the old model had 42 limb blocks.
